If someone who is an expert in the field tells you to give up because you don't have what it takes to make it do you listen? Perhaps you are deluded and think you are better than you actually are. Perhaps the expert simply doesn't see the potential in you. How do you know and how do you respond?

The Morning Wake Up life coach Lisa McInnes-Smith explores the Australian Idol culture where experts tell contestants whether they are good enough to make it before they let the public decide with votes. All of us has had someone tell us we can't make it.

Lisa thinks that while the expert knows the industry they may not know you. Even if they are correct that you can't make it as elite perhaps you should still find a way to keep doing what you love.
