ReadRomans 4:16-22 Without becoming weak infaith he contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about ahundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb; yet, with respect to thepromise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, givingglory to God. (vv. 19-20) Ourfaith gives glory to God! Ifwe do not put faith in God, then who are we giving the credit for everythingthat God has done in our lives? Ourselves. If we do not see God as the onebehind all good things, then we must give the credit to someone else. Butwhen we become people of faith, people who depend on God for everything, thenwe honour God for everything in our lives. When we give thanks for our meals,we are not just mouthing words; we really are acknowledging that God has providedfor us. Haveyou realised yet that God is the One who has provided you with your job, yourhealth, and everything else important to you? We rarely think of it, but everybreath and every heartbeat we have is ordained by God. Every second of our lifedepends on Him. Asyour faith grows, and it becomes more and more evident and obvious that God isat work in your life, then your faith becomes a witness to others of thegreatness of God. |
