Psalm63:1-8

O God, You are my God; Ishall seek You earnestly; my soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, ina dry and weary land where there is no water. Thus I have seen You in thesanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness isbetter than life, my lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as Ilive; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul is satisfied as with marrowand fatness, and my mouth offers praises with joyful lips. When I remember Youon my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches, For You have been my help,And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy. My soul clings to You; Yourright hand upholds me.

TheLord wants you to stop and take time to meditate!

Itis difficult for us to get quiet without an agenda of activities, or withoutsome kind of media entertaining us, isn’t it? Because we are part of an activeculture, we think the most important thing we can do is offer ourselves to Godfor what He wants us to do. But the most important question we can ask God isnot, “What do you want me to do?”, but rather, “Here I am God…what are Yousaying?” Listening like that helps your heart to “cling” and “sing”.
