For we are Hisworkmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God preparedbeforehand so that we would walk in them. (v.10)

Godis at work in me, shaping me so thatHe can work through me!

John 16:23-24

In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly,truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He willgive it to you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and youwill receive, so that your joy may be made full

John 15:16

You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed youthat you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so thatwhatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.

Notice the order of things in this verse. We bear fruit thatremains SO THAT whatever we ask theFather in Jesus’ name, He will give us.

John 15:7

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whateveryou wish, and it will be done for you.

Again we see this incredible promise, “Ask whatever you wish”. It seems almost too big a claim, too goodto be true. If you think the promise means that prayer can be like rubbing yourgenie bottle and fulfilling any selfish desire, then you would be right to besceptical.

John 14:13-14 And whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.

 

Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts; and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.

Total openness with God is the way forward in spiritual growth!

John 20:21-22 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you”. And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit”.

Just like Jesus, we need to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit!

Nehemiah 6:1-4 Now when it was reported to Sanballat, Tobiah, to Geshem the Arab and to the rest of our enemies that I had rebuilt the wall, and that no breach remained in it, although at that time I had not set up the doors in the gates, then Sanballat and Geshem sent a message to me, saying, “Come, let us meet together at Chephirim in the plain of Ono”. But they were planning to harm me. So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?” They sent messages to me four times in this manner, and I answered them in the same way.
