Colossians 1:9-12 For this reason also, since the day we
heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be
filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and
understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please
Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the
knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might,
for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to
the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in
Light.

John 16:23-27 In that day you will not question Me
about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you.
Until now you have asked for nothing in
My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full. These
things I have spoken to you in figurative language; an hour is coming when I
will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but will tell you plainly
of the Father. In that day you will ask in
My name, and I do not say to you that I will request of the Father on your
behalf; for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have
believed that I came forth from the Father.

Matthew 7:7-11 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek,
and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks
receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or
what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a
stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you
then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more
will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!
God wants to
answer our prayers!

Isaiah 57:15 For thus says the high and exalted One
who lives forever, whose name is Holy, “I dwell on a high and holy place, and
also with the contrite and lowly of spirit, in order to revive the spirit of
the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.”
Prayer that God
pays attention to begins with an attitude of dependence and humility!

Romans 8:35-39 Who will separate us from the love of
Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness,
or peril, or sword? Just as it is written, `For your sake we are being put to
death all day long; we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.’ But in all
these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am
convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor
things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any
other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Even death won’t
end your wonderful relationship with God!

1 Corinthians
15:20-26 But now Christ has been raised from the
dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. For since by a man came death,
by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so
also in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the
first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming, then comes the
end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has
abolished all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign until He has
put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be abolished is
death.
Jesus’ victory
over death assures us of our life after death!

Philippians
1:20-24 …according to my earnest expectation and
hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness,
Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by
death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. But if I am to live on
in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labour for me; and I do not know which to
choose. But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart
and be with Christ, for that is very much better; yet to remain on in the flesh
is more necessary for your sake.
Don’t be afraid
of death, because it is the doorway into a life that is “very much better”, with Christ!

John 14:3-6 “If I go and prepare a place for you, I
will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be
also. And you know the way where I am going.” Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do
not know where You are going, how do we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am
the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”
There is only one
way to a wonderful eternity with God and that is through the person of Jesus
Christ!
