In “Yesterday’s Diary” Annette rang to tell me that she is a Kid’s Hope Mentor down at
Geelong. This is where an adult goes into a school and spends an hour with one of the children - building up their confidence and self-esteem. Annette told me that the boy she mentors LOVES footy, and being in
Geelong, loves the Cats. She is a friend of Gary Ablett Snr and after quite a lot of organising eventually organised for
Gary to come and spend an hour kicking the footy with her boy. Needless to say - he was over the moon (and couldn’t really believe that Gary Ablett was there just to kick the footy with him!). Well done Annette - and well done
Gary!
