Jane is undertaking a gruelling 6 week "warrior girl" training session with star bodybuilder Loretta Watson. Here's her diary entry after the 3rd week of training!
Let's just say Loretta lifted the intensity of my training session a few notches resulting in some grunts and groans as I pushed out the last few reps of each set.
I hate to think what my facial expressions looked like but I wouldn't hesitate to say that if facial expressions create wrinkles then I'm in trouble. As for my biceps... with all the excitement of their existence last week I got a bit overconfident and managed to give myself a mild strain during a home training session so needless to say they are out of action for a few days.... silly girl!!
While I have made good progress in the eating stakes, packing some more protein into my day, I still have more work to do. But I have been inspired to a new level after observing one of Loretta's meals/snacks when I turned up for training. It looked like she was eating the healthiest version of a gourmet beef and rice dish I had ever seen in my life. No doubt it contained a perfect balance of fat, carbs and protein. No wonder she is the champion she is.... so disciplined, and highly organised with her food preparation and intake. That's it... time to become more creative in the kitchen.
Well it's eating time again...... maybe a flaxmeal and berry shake is in order. The good news is Loretta says I can continue to eat even more! How awesome!!!! But it must be healthy calories.
