Well, the unthinkable has happened. The unimaginable has occured. The undreamable has... wait.. is undreamable a word? I don't think so...
Anyway, an incredible event took place in the Light FM studios this morning. An event so unprecedented, so indescribable, so awesome in it's undreamableness... oh wait that's not a word... anyway, something truly wonderful happened... and Lucy's dreams came true.
It involved One Host, One Tub of Chupa Chups... and one little guy called Chuck...
Lucy's dream did come true this morning. Nearing the end of the show, two guests came into the studio, two guests that weren't scheduled... and Lucy knew nothing about....
They came bearing Chupa Chups.
That's right, Lucy was pretty excited. It was the guys from The Taboo Group, who look after the Chupa Chups Competition - Andrew and Maria. They had heard Lucy was a little in love with the Chupa Chups Mascot 'Chuck'. In fact, they had come across a blog written by Lucy here on the Light FM website in which Lucy said she was determined to find a Chuck doll... no matter what the cost (Click here to see original story and blog) So the lovely people from Chupa Chups brought in a huge tub of Chupa Chups for Lucy to eat and hopefully come across a winning 'Chuck' stick.. they even offered to help her by eating some right there and then!
Lucy was beside herself with excitement. In front of her lay endless possibilities... did one of these Chupa Chups contain the winning stick? Surely! Lucy felt a bit like Charlie in Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory... but her Golden Ticket was stick with the word CHUCK on it... and her prize was much greater than Charlie's... it was a rare Chuck Doll.
BUT... it didn't stop there....
After consuming a very tasty Strawberries and Cream Chup, our special guests brought in one more present. It was an odly shaped box, covered in masking tape and gaffer tape. What would this box hold? Lucy ripped into it on air, very excited. Inside was a strange shaped plastic bag with 'LIFE LESS SERIOUS' written on it... her heart started to beat fast, her hands started to shake... could it be? Could it be him? She ripped open the bag, and looked in. She saw the funny corn-coloured spiky hair, the little button eyes, the trademark cloud blue coloured shirt... and lastly, the little hand clasping the Chupa Chup... It was Him. Chuck. The toy of Lucy's dreams. She has finally gotten a Chuck!
Chuck was interviewed on air by Luke... but strangely had nothing to say. He was too busy eating his Chupa Chup.... A HUGE thanks to our new friends from the Taboo Group, Maria and Andrew!
So who is Chuck and why is Lucy a little bit in love with him? Well... he makes life a little less serious... and when trouble comes his ways, he remains the strong silent type, and continues to suck on his Chupa Chup... check his adverts out here :
