Guinness Book of World Records - Alastair Gal...

The Morning Blog Wed 25 Feb

We chat to Alastair Galpin who has just broken the world record by having the longest hair extensions ever!

With no less than 6.68 metres of synthetic hair into his hairline, Mr Alastair Galpin has set the world record for the Longest hair extensions.

Mr Galpin approached Ms Park from Garden of Eve in St Heliers with the idea of attempting to break the record for the world’s longest hair extensions.

It took Ms Park nearly four hours to weave 6.68 metres of synthetic hair into Mr Galpin’s hairline.

Mr Galpin says: "It was a pleasure, I love the hair, and look forward to the record being verified."

Ms Park says Mr Galpin was very patient. "It was quite tiring for me though. They’re the longest extensions I’ve ever attached."

"We also had a great response from the crowd who were intrigued to see what we were doing. The support certainly kept me going," she says.

Mr Galpin, who loves living a life less ordinary, is now planning and practising for his next World Record, details of which he is keeping under wraps until closer to that attempt in several weeks time.
