Doyou see this value at work in Jesus’ life? News about Him was spreading; thecrowds gathering to hear Him were growing. Ministry opportunities and needswere going through the roof. It would seem like the crucial time to workovertime to capitalise on the spiritual hunger and responsiveness of thepeople. But Jesus “would often slip awayto the wilderness and pray.”
Itmust have driven the disciples crazy when Jesus would just disappear and theywould have to come up with something to do with the crowds.
Butnothing was going to keep Jesus from His first priority in life—Hisrelationship with His Father.
Whenyou learn from Jesus to put your relationship with God first in your life, youwill be amazed at how well the rest of your schedule and responsibilities cometogether and fall into place. You’ll see His hand guiding your steps.
PutGod first in your life, and give Him total control. You may be nervous beforedoing so, but you will never be sorry afterwards.
