Galatians4:4-7
But when the fullness of thetime came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so thatHe might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive theadoption as sons. Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of HisSon into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” Therefore you are no longer aslave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.
AsRich Miller has said, “When Christentered our world, He didn't come to brighten our Decembers, but to transformour lives!”
The greatest gift ever given was the Father’ssending of His Son into our fallen world. He had planned it from the beginning. From the first, God was orchestrating events so that everything would be justright, ready, when His Son was born “inthe fullness of time”.
Becauseof what Jesus did for us, we have been adopted by God as His sons anddaughters. Our older Brother, Jesus, has shared with us His preciousrelationship with God the Father. Now the Holy Spirit in our hearts isreassuring us of this relationship with God. He is encouraging us to speak withlove and trust and total openness to God our Father, just like a little childon his daddy’s lap, chattering away happily. Your loving Father is leaning into listen to you today.
