This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Christmas shows you how valuable you are to God!
Donald Westlake wrote, “Christmas reminds us we are not alone. We are not unrelated atoms, bouncing and ricocheting amid aliens, but are a part of something, which holds and sustains us.” Yes! God, who is full of purpose, planned your existence long ago. He saw that you would be sinful and alienated from Him and unable to change that situation. You needed “a Saviour”!
What would it take to save you? How much were you worth to God? You were worth the cross. That is why Jesus was born. Jesus was God’s message to you saying, “I love you; you are valuable to me; I’ll make a way for you to have a great relationship with me; it will cost a lot, but I will pay the cost.”
If you’ve never received God’s gift of love and forgiveness, paid for by Jesus at the cross, then in your heart turn to Him now and thank Him and receive it.
