Psalm27:1-5
The LORD is my light andmy salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the defence of my life; whom shallI dread? When evildoers came upon me to devour my flesh, my adversaries and myenemies, they stumbled and fell. Though a host encamp against me, my heart willnot fear; though war arise against me, in spite of this I shall be confident.One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: that I may dwell inthe house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORDand to meditate in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will conceal me inHis tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will liftme up on a rock.
God’speace is most evident in difficult circumstances!
Thispassage oozes with the peace of God. “Whomshall I dread…my heart will not fear…I shall be confident.” But the passageis also overflowing with trouble. “Evildoerscame upon me…a host encamp against me…war arise against me…in the day oftrouble.”
Manytimes the Lord’s plan for your life is not to remove you from troublingsituations, but to show the world the difference He makes by giving you peacein spite of those things. How can you find peace? Trust Him, and remember thatHe’s with you.
