Hebrews2:18
Therefore, He [Jesus] had to be made like His brethren in allthings, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in thingspertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For sinceHe Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.
Jesusis able to help you resist temptation!
Somepeople believe that there’s a God up there somewhere. But in their minds, He’sjust watching to see what happens. He knows that we struggle deeply withtemptation; He wants us to do the right thing; but He doesn’t really understandwhat it is like to face the temptations we face; He is just an outsideobserver.
ButJesus wants you to know that He, as God, knows! He didn’t remain outside ourworld and just observe it; He became a part of it! He became a man, fullyhuman. He experienced all the agony of life in a fallen world. People hatedHim, hurt Him both physically and emotionally; He got tired and hungry; Satantempted Him to do the wrong thing time and again.
ButHe came through it all without sinning even once. And today He wants you toknow that if you will allow Him to live His life through You, He can help youovercome temptation too.
