Romans 6:4 Therefore we have beenburied with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised fromthe dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness oflife.
The Christian life is not just morally better than thenon-Christian life—it’s of a completely different quality!
When you were united with Christ, you became a differentkind of being than you used to be. You used to be “in Adam” (1 Corinthians 15:22), but now you are “in Christ” (Ephesians 2:13). That makesyou new! As the Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old thingspassed away; behold, new things have come”.
You can choose to live your old way of life, focused onyourself. But that’s not “you” anymore. The new you, “in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holinessof the truth” (Ephesians 4:24).
Remember that God isn’t just with you, He indwells youthrough the work of the Holy Spirit and the life of Christ in you. TheChristian life isn’t about trying harder to resist temptation and overcomebarriers. It’s about deepening your daily relationship with the Lord Jesus andinviting Him to live His way of life through you.
Right now, ask the Lord: “Live through me today. I’m willingto do what You want with my life”.
