Luke 2:1-7 Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, in order to register along with Mary, who was engaged to him, and was with child. While they were there, the days were completed for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
Jesus was fully human!
Before Jesus was born on earth, He already existed with God the Father. He existed for all eternity past as God the Son, in perfect relationship with His Father and with the Holy Spirit. When He was miraculously conceived in the womb of Mary, a virgin, He did not cease being God. But He did, in addition to being God, become fully human. He did not just appear to be a human — He was human. He needed to be wrapped in cloths to stay warm; He needed all the care that any baby needs.
Because Jesus was human, He was able to be our representative before God the Father when He died on the cross on our behalf. And even in glory, He still stands as our High Priest, interceding with the Father on our behalf.
