The Psychology of Pain and Pain Management

The Anxiety Disorders Association of Victoria, Inc presents an Information Session on The Psychology of Pain and Pain Management

Many people have suffered with pain at some point in their life. The word pain is often used to describe not only physical discomfort but experiences of grief and loneliness, which can be just as debilitating as physical pain. This reinforces the relationship between the physical and the mental in our pain experience.

This info session will provide an overview of the psychology of pain as well as how to manage chronic
physical pain using psychological strategies e.g. mindfulness, pacing and working with strengths.
