Hollyn’s One Way Conversations
Main article content
Hollyn first emerged as a teenager on Season 12 of American Idol. Toby Mac has since signed her to his record label, and really invested significant time over the last few years mentoring and developing her as an artist. Now with the release of her debut album One Way Conversations, Hollyn says she carries a high level of honesty and openness through her music:
“Vulnerability to me has been the tool I’ve leaned into when I am creating music and I feel like it should be vulnerable and something that people can relate to. I feel the more honest and open about things you are the better.”
Hollyn explains her current single ‘Can’t Live Without’ carries a simple, but powerful message:
“I was on the west coast (of the USA) in August of last year, and I just thought about all the times that I’ve been travelling and away from home and my community, and I just know at the end of the day, the one thing I can’t live without is the love of the people that I care about, and of my Saviour.”
