Cam Want caught up with the former talent show constestant, singer Brittany Cairns, about her new musical adventures and her journey to becoming the singer and person she is today.

Since the last time they spoke, Brittany has not only released a new single, ‘The Radio’, but is also working on a new EP. She tells us about her excitement and why she chose to experiment with new and different sounds, where she is now even working with RnB.

With the last year of her life being mentally and physically difficult, Brittany has used her heartache to inspire her new music, which comes straight from her heart and is drenched in emotion.

Giving us an insight into her life, Brittany talks about her ‘desert year’ where she felt isolated, and hit a brick wall in various aspects in her life. Despite this however, Brittany managed to conquer the desert and make it through. She expresses just how grateful she is and how blessed she feels for making it through and ending up where she is today.

She believes that her struggles have tested her Faith but have brought her closer to God and helped her understand His love more.

She also lets us know how important her family is to her, saying that she feels incredibly blessed to have such a beautiful family. She tells us of how proud she is of her brother, Nate, who is now a member of the band, New Empire.

Her new EP, titled ‘Tales of the Desert’ , is due to come out early next year.

If you can’t get enough of Brittany Cairns, listen in to her previous interview on The Green Room here, and Open House here.
