Gideon Robinson is proving age and a life threatening illness is no barrier to love. The 5-year-old was diagnosed with Leukaemia on November 17 and since then has been in and out of Rady Children’s Hospital in the US city of San Diego.
Sarah Richardson, 30, was the first nurse to treat Gideon so has a special place in his heart. Just before Christmas she said good-bye to spend time with her family, and joked that what she really wanted for Christmas was for her boyfriend to propose.
Well Sarah’s boyfriend is obviously not as quick as mini-Casanova Gideon who made an engagement ring complete with a box and recently got down on one knee to propose to his favourite nurse.
“I wanted to marry her to make her laugh like she makes me laugh,” Gideon told Today.com.
“It was really, really cute and sweet,” Sarah said. “I was surprised by the amount of people he got to come.”
So, did she say yes? Watch the video to find out.
